Become a Scholarship Partner
Partnerships are crucial to the success of the Outward Bound Wilderness Scholarship Program. We maintain over 100 partner relationships nationally which help to provide recruitment support, mentoring services, student preparation assistance, clothing, gear, orientation facilities and matching funds. Currently, we are only seeking partners that can provide matching tuition support or are located in the following areas: Los Angeles, CA, Marin County, CA, Contra Costa County, CA , Knox County, ME, and Pierce County, WA.

Summer Search
Outward Bound and Summer Search join together to help low income, racially and culturally diverse high scholl students gain knowledge of themselves and become responsible, altruistic leaders.
Pinnacle Scholarship Program
Founded in 1992, the Pinnacle Scholarship Program provides an opportunity for low-income, high potential youth ages 14-18 to attend an Outward Bound Wilderness course. The Pinnacle Program works exclusively with youth from our partnering youth leadership organizations. Through pre-course guidance and mentoring, post-course support, and community service, students are eligible for full-tuition scholarships to attend Outward Bound courses.
Leadership Award
The Leadership
Award, established in 1998, is a full-tuition scholarship for juniors at donor-designated high schools. It is designated for students who demonstrate an interest in community service and display untapped leadership potential. Scholarship recipients are typically chosen by the students high school.
