Information on General Scholarships for Summer
Courses (June 1st to August 31st start dates)

Outward Bound Scholarships are based on financial need and
can cover up to 50% of course tuition. Scholarships for summer
courses will be collected and reviewed in two waves. The deadline
is May 1st. Students will not be enrolled on
a specific course until after the applications are reviewed and the scholarship
money is distributed. Please note that courses do fill and
if you want to attend a specific course, the only way to secure
a spot on that course is to pay in full and not apply for
a scholarship.

A copy of the most recent 1040 tax form (Note: we require
a 1040 federal tax form (including all schedules), not a W-2
Wage and tax statement)
Please note: Complete scholarship applications must
be received by the May 1st deadline to be considered for scholarship. We encourage you to send in
your application early to increase your chances of receiving a scholarship. If a complete application is not received by May 1st, you will not be eligible.
If you qualify for a scholarship, you will be notified about
the amount of your award, the course that the award is for,
and the balance of your tuition. We expect to notify
applicants 2-3 weeks after the deadline. If you
choose to accept your award and enroll on the course, we will
require a $500 Application Fee and deposit to secure your
spot on the course and the balance of your tuition will be
due 60 days prior to the course start. You must pay the balance
of your tuition when it is due in order to secure your spot
on the course. Once you accept your award, all course refund
and cancellation policies apply and your $500 Application
Fee and deposit becomes non-refundable. If you have questions, please refer
