Information on General Scholarships for Instructor
Courses, Semester Courses, or Courses starting September 1st
to May 31st
Please note: The information below is not for
summer courses (June 1st to August 31st start dates) other than Intercept courses or courses that are 50 days or longer. Please refer to this
link for information regarding general scholarships not included in the listing above.
Scholarships can cover up to 50% of course tuition. We encourage
all applicants to apply early as money is awarded on a first-come,
first-served basis. Applicants must be enrolled on a course
and must pay the $100 application fee before the scholarship
application can be reviewed.

tax form (Note: We require a 1040 federal tax form (including
all schedules), not a W-2 Wage and tax statement)
Please note: Complete scholarship applications must
be received within one week if you are enrolled for an Intercept course and within two weeks of enrolling on any other Outward
Bound course in order to hold your spot on the course.

If you qualify, you will be notified about the amount of
your award and how to pay the balance of your tuition.
If your course starts more than 60 days from the day you are
notified of your scholarship amount, the balance of your tuition
will be due 60 days prior to your course start. If your course
starts less than 60 days from the day you are notified, you
will be responsible for paying the balance of your tuition
at the time of notification. You must pay the balance
of your tuition when it is due in order to secure your spot
on the course. Once you accept your award, all course refund
and cancellation policies apply and your $100 Application
Fee becomes non-refundable. If you do not receive the amount
you request and you decide to cancel, Outward Bound will refund
your $100 Application Fee. Scholarships may not be transferred
from one Outward Bound course to another but can be re-evaluated
if the applicant needs to transfer. If you have questions,
