Skill Development Training: Professional development
is taken very seriously at Outward Bound, and we work to provide
state-of-the-art opportunities to our staff. We offer a number of
trainings each year to help staff develop new technical and interpersonal
skills. Trainings include working with adolescents and special populations,
whitewater canoeing, river rescue training, rock climbing, and leadership.
We also offer subsidized staff expedition opportunities at most
of our program areas.
Health Insurance: We have different options for
assisting our field staff with their health insurance costs. The

Professional Equipment Purchase Program: Staff
can order a variety of equipment and clothing at substantial discounts
from companies within the outdoor industry.
