Ross Lake Canoeing - Educators

View the Photo Gallery of this Course

Structured to strengthen group communication, teamwork and leadership skills, this program takes place at the pristine, glacier-fed Ross Lake, where Jack Kerouac spent a summer, manning the fire lookout tower on nearby Desolation Peak. Experiential education components are woven throughout the canoeing and hiking course elements. In the evening, Instructors present methods and philosophies of experiential education and encourage open dialogue, giving you the opportunity to share your insights and form new opinions regarding educational approaches. Return to your school renewed and excited to translate the experiences from your course into new and effective teaching methods for your classroom. Begins in Seattle, WA.
